Technology Advantages

This laser has variable spot beam technology. Variable-shaped beams ranking in size from 0.65 to 6.5 millimeters are scanned and offset to allow personalized refractive treatments. The beam size is automatically adjusted according to the treatment. One of the benefits of the Visx laser is that it produces the smoothest surface on the cornea after the procedure, this promotes faster healing, resulting in better vision.

Another advantage to the Visx Star S4 is the ActiveTrak 3-D Active Eye Tracking. It is the only Laser System that can capture all three dimensions of intra-operative eye movements in real time: vertical, horizontal and up and down. This allows for extra safety and precision during the procedure by verifying the correct position of your eye before every laser pulse.
