Our Patients Say...
"Since having my surgery in January 2004 I have been amazed with my better than perfect vision and impressed with the staff's professionalism and caring attitudes." - Hope Atyeo January 2004 Currently: 20/15 |
NeurOptics PupillometerAn accurate instrument for measuring the dilated pupil is essential for surgeons who perform laser vision corrective surgery. Since the pupil is never at rest, a single static measurement is unlikely to be an accurate assessment of the pupils true amplitude, or range of diameter. That is why the doctors at the Spectrum Eye Center employ the computer controlled Neuroptics Pupillometer. It has a dynamic measurement system, which captures 14 pupil positions per second over an approximate three second scanning period. To compensate for pupillary unrest, the device captures up to 41 frames of data per three second measurement producing the minimum, maximum and weighted average pupil size. During the targeting sequence, active guidance markers provide visual feedback to the operator to ensure proper alignment during testing. Better Technology, Better Results, Better Vision. |
